RIZOMA at Habitat offers 90-minute sessions of free play and movement for children from 3 months to 3 years old. This time also guides parents in the process of learning, enjoying and accompanying the integral development of their children during early childhood.

The space where these meetings are held is equipped with furniture that facilitates the development of gross motor skills with activities that encourage the baby to perform actions such as crawling, crawling, climbing and taking his/her first steps. In addition, the RIZOMA program helps develop fine motor skills with the use of materials such as baskets, fabrics, wooden hoops, among others.

The sessions are held once a week and are grouped in bimonthly cycles; that is, eight sessions in total. The groups are distributed as follows:

• SEEDS: FOR BABIES FROM 3 TO 6 MONTHS OF AGE
• SPROUTS: FOR BABIES FROM 6 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR OF AGE
• PLANTS: FOR CHILDREN FROM 1 YEAR 5 MONTHS TO 3 YEAR OLDS

The cycles of free play and movement are guided by Minerva Bañuelos, educator with advanced training at the Pikler Pedagogy by the Pikler-Lóczy Center in Budapest, Hungary. Member of the Pikler International Association.
